The course is designed for supervisors, within any organisation, who require to improve their knowledge on this topic.

SYNOPSIS

The course will explore the coloration between practice, record keeping, planning, discussion and appraisal.

AIM

To develop awareness of the role of the supervisor, incorporating coaching as an effective approach to the development of staff, especially when addressing poor performance.

OBJECTIVES

On completion of the course participants will/should be able to:

1. Clarify the role and responsibilities of the supervisor within the organisation
2. Identify the role of coaching in the supervisory process
3. Develop a structured approach to staff development and addressing poor performance
