This Course has been designed for all managers in the care sector (private, voluntary, or statutory) who have or about to take on responsibility for appraising staff.
SYNOPSIS
This Course provides an introduction to understanding the purpose of appraisal, effective preparation for appraisal interviews, and practising the skills needed by the appraiser. The course can be designed to fit the needs of a single organisation with a new or revised appraisal system for staff.
AIM
To provide organisations with the basis for a consistent approach to appraisal by mangers at all levels in the organisation.

Having completed the course participants should be able to:
1. Describe the key features of an effective appraisal system
2. Prepare for the appraisal discussion in a professional manner
3. Demonstrate the skills needed at different stages of the appraisal process
