Synopsis
The course is aimed at staff that in anyway are involved in medication for Clients
Aim
The course will explore and extend participants' knowledge of Medication including The Law, Individual Responsibilities, and methods of administration. Participants will explore their own role in this.
1. Define Medication
2. Explore Therapeutic Benefit
3. Comply with current legislation
4. Follow guidance issued by the Health Departments for
England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and
other Government Departments e.g. Home Office
5. Manage the risks to patients and staff arising from the
use of medicines.
