Protection of Vulnerable Adults

TARGET PARTICIPANT GROUP


The course is designed both for care and senior staff, within any organisation, who care for clients who are vulnerable and may be subject to abuse, or indeed subject care staff to abuse

SYNOPSIS

The course will explore and extend participants' knowledge about Abuse: the forms it can take, those who are at risk, various explanations for the occurrence of Abuse and possible outcomes and response options. Participants will go on to look at their own presentation in an abusive situation, including submitting a report.

AIM

The aim of the course is to provide participants with the opportunity to examine the wider issues of Abuse to, or from Vulnerable Adults and develop prevention strategies. 

OBJECTIVES


Having completed the course, participants will/should be able to :

2.Identify features of it and reasons behind it
3.How to report it 
4.How to make an accurate report
5.Identify the main legal implications
6.Explore ways to prevent Abuse
