TARGET PARTICIPANT GROUP

The course is designed for care staff, within any organisation, who require to improve their knowledge on this subject.

SYNOPSIS

The course will explore and extend participants' knowledge of Parkinson's Disease.

Aim

The aim of today's course is to increase Care Team's understanding of Parkinson's Disease. Delegates developed their skills and gained a basic knowledge in this area, they were enabled to recognise best practise, they explored current treatments and strategies for assisting clients by providing effective care for them.

Objectives

Having completed the course participants should;

1. Understand what Parkinson's Disease is
2. Have identified signs of Parkinson's Disease
3. Have an understanding of current treatments
4. Explore best practise 
5. Strategies for providing effective care for the Older Person
