The course is designed both for care and catering staff, within any organisation, who require to improve their knowledge on this subject.
SYNOPSIS
The course will explore and extend participants' knowledge of Nutrition, including Government Guidelines, Individual Responsibilities, Groups Responsibilities, Ill-nourishment and methods of improving diet.
Aim
The aim of this course is to enlighten care and catering staff in the nutritional needs of Elderly Clients in order they receive adequate nutrition.
Objectives
·Understanding basic nutrition.
·Explore factors affecting food choice.
·Common health problems in elderly people and their impact on nutritional needs.
