Synopsis

This course is designed to clarify varying forms of Dementia. Delegates will develop their skills and gain a basic knowledge in this topic, whilst exploring self help, care interventions and guidance techniques.

Aim
The aim of today's course is to enable Carers, or Care Teams to gain an understanding of Dementia, the effect it has on the individual, possible treatment(s) and the most appropriate care and guidance for the sufferer.
Objectives;
Having completed the course, participants should;
1. Discuss the causes of Dementia
2. Recognise it's signs and symptoms
3. Consider the range and variety of problems experienced by the sufferer
4. Explore various treatments and strategies for care and guidance.
