THERAPEUTIC MANAGEMENT OF AGGRESSION AND VIOLENCE - Hands on Interventions

TARGET PARTICIPANT GROUP

The course is designed both for care, support and senior staff, within any organisation, who require training on this topic. It will provide comprehensive information on the topic in care settings and to explore possible avenues of intervention for those who require it.



SYNOPSIS

The course will explore and extend participants' knowledge of Therapeutic Management of Aggression & Violence, including The Law, Individual Responsibilities, Moves relevant to their work place. Participants will explore their own capability and the appropriate interventions.


AIM

The aim of the course is to reduce the risk to the client and staff member through Efficient Interventions. Participants will have ample opportunity to develop and improve their technique. 

OBJECTIVES

Having completed the course, participants will/should be able to: 

1.Identify Efficient Interventions

2.Identify Inefficient Interventions

3.Be aware of Risk Assessment 

4.Identify the main legal implications
5. Identify management options.
